Together we will work on communicating through problems, emotional wounds, unmet needs, betrayals, and desires. We will take old patterns of communication and create new ones that include topics pertaining to what your needing, desiring, and feeling. We will go through accountability and how each person is contributing to the cycle. Then we will continuously work towards long-lasting change for a satisfactory relationship.
For individual therapy we will explore what it is you are struggling with. How we can change your narrative to be a fulfilling one and analyze alternative narratives to resolve and move away from where you once stood and struggled. We will also explore personal emotions, struggles, cycles and work towards transformational change. I believe in transformational change rather than just behavioral change. We work at changing us as a person rather than only changing our habits.
Example: If you struggle with putting yourself last and everyone else first, I believe in guiding you to want to put yourself first sometimes FOR YOURSELF (self-love). This would be transformational change where you change who you are (or mindset) for the better. If we only change your habit and you put yourself first sometimes but don't want to, it won't feel genuine and will only resolve the symptom not the root of the problem (self-love).
In family therapy, everyone will have the experience of feeling/being heard, communicating and expressing themselves to their loved ones. You'll come together to work against the problem as a unit. You'll create an environment where there is support, empathy, accountability, and communication of emotions/needs/thoughts. We will find ways of communicating and utilize tools for tackling problems that are best for your family.
For my high performance/high achieving individuals, you can expect to take charge of your narrative and gain power over anxiety and pressure. We will equip you with tools against the stress that comes with being a high achieving, high performing person. Together we will analyze your thought process, emotions and goals to maximize your performance whether that is in sports, music, work, ect. Expect to go over topics such as self-care and down time which may be the opposite of what you do because you are always on the go (might be what you're needing).
